Hello again! and welcome to my blog, or welcome back to my returning readers! For the next instalment I have decided to try various instant snacks that make a quick and easy lunch, and choose which tastes better, Enjoy!



Cup Shotz (37p) vs Mug Shot (80p)

I was pleasantly surprised with the results of this test, with Aldi's 'Cup Shotz' in a chicken flavour actually delivering fairly well in comparison to the Snack Noodle. I wouldn't say it was miles better than the Mug Shot, but the two are extremely extremely similar in flavour and texture. This was without a doubt the best result for Aldi in this blog (spoiler, sorry), with the Mug Shot being well and truly mugged off by Aldi's replica. 






Pasta & Sauce (39p) vs Pasta 'n' Sauce (75p)

Even although the packaging of these two products are extremely similar, the flavour is a different story altogether. Aldi have created a snack which honestly does taste unreal, but in comparison to Bachelors product, is completely different.







Soup in a cup (35p) vs Cupa Soup (£1.20)

I've never really like the idea of Bachelors 'Cupa Soup' in any flavour, so I thought I would change it up from Pasta slightly for the last comparison to see if Aldi could convert me to having my soup in a cup. Even although neither beat a good old fashioned tin of Heinz Tomato Soup, if sticking strictly to comparing the two, they both tasted exactly the same to me!

Now, I have decided to put ‘Snackrite’ crisps to the test.    Let the cheese meet the onion.   First, I tried Walkers cheese and onion crisps (6 pack, averaging £1.50) , and Aldi’s of the same (6 pack, £0.79). Aldi’s crisps were more flavoursome, and left Walkers seeming slightly underwhelming and a little bland. When it came to a blind taste test, I mistook Aldi’s product for Walkers.   When it came to Doritos (Tangy Cheese, £1.99) and Aldi’s ‘Snackrite Tortilla Chips (Nacho Cheese. £0.75) - wow huge price difference!! I did notice a slight difference in the flavours of the two, I personally preferred the Doritos but for this price I would probably opt for the Aldi option!
